Pilasters are available smooth, fluted, or panelled with a variety of capitals and plinths great for building facades

 

 

Pilasters can be considered as flat columns to accentuate doorways or window openings.  Used on walls they divide spaces into manageable sections.  Pilasters can be on flat back boards or sold as pilaster stock material.  To adjust the height they can be cut from the bottom. Use pilasters interior or exterior for facade design.
